Bellone Invites Independent Filmmakers to Apply for Next Exposure Grants

(HAUPPAUGE, NY)-- Suffolk County Executive Steven Bellone and the Suffolk County Film Commission jointly announced today that applications for the Next Exposure: Suffolk County Low Budget Independent Film Completion Grant are now available at www.SuffolkCountyFilmCommission.com for professional filmmakers who shoot in Suffolk County.

"Suffolk County, home to multiple film festivals including the Stony Brook Film Festival and Hamptons International Film Festival, has a long history of producing talent in all areas of the arts,” said Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone. “The ‘Next Exposure’ grant program is a great way not only to foster that talent but to encourage filmmakers to utilize Suffolk County’s assets and natural resources for their work.”

Grants ranging from $2,500 to $3,000 will be awarded to two director filmmakers with projects ready for completion where fifty percent of principal photography is in Suffolk County.

This program supports the completion of high-quality, original, director-driven, low-budget, independent films from emerging and established professional filmmakers.

Recipients will be selected by the members of the Suffolk Count
